Eli Secody

I am from Kaibeto, Arizona on the Navajo Nation. My music recording career began in 2001 under my own recording label, Secody Records. I continued my music endeavors and projects with Canyon Records, Akina Records and The Gathering of Nations.

I have had the honor to perform with Keith Secola, Bill Miller, Miki Free and Tony Duncan just to name a few. My style has always been a Native American Church style of chant. Some of my performances have been at Indian Summer Music Festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Pohawtan Indian Festival in New Jersey, eight years in a row at the Gathering of Nations Pow wow in "The Pit", Colorado Indian Market in Denver, Colorado, Day Break Star in Seattle, Washington, Gene Autry Museum in Los Angeles, California, the Santa Fe Indian Market, Pueblo Grande Indian Market, and at the 5k, 10k, cycling racing & marathon in Atlanta, Georgia just to name a few.

The early years of my life was about comprehending Jesus Christ from a Mormon point of view but I never went on my mission also as a young person I participated in Native American Church and Navajo Traditional Ceremonies. Today I recently completed my certification in professional development in Yoolgai Saad and Yikai Yizhchi it is an understanding of Navajo Holistic Healing through the Teachings of Yoolgai Asdzaa, Naayee Neizghani and Tobajishchini through the Institute for Dine Culture, Philosophy & Government, LLC.
